Easter

This past weekend we celebrated our Savior and what He did for us on the cross. He has risen hallelujah!

Sunday morning we attended Tony's parents' church - where "papaw" lead the special music. It was a real treat. Claire even sat through the whole service. She LOVES music. Then we headed over to mamaw and papaw's house for steaks on the grill and an Easter egg hunt. It was a chilly day, so the hunt was over in about 2 minutes...but the candy is still being enjoyed :) Then while Claire went down for a nap, Tony and I headed over to our new house to do some more work.

That's right, as of Friday, April 10th we are now proud home owners. I must admit I did tear up a bit at the closing. Since we've been in school our entire married life, we've always done the apartment thing - so a beautiful home of our very own is a big deal! God has truly blessed us! We are painting now and then will make the big move...so you'll have to check back for pictures later :)

The Children's Museum Of Indianapolis

Even if you don't live in the area, if you happen to drive through Indianapolis, I recommend a trip to the Children's Museum. There is something for kids of all ages to enjoy. This past Thursday Tony took a day off work and drove us downtown Indy for a treat to the museum. Claire had a BLAST. Her favorite activity was the carousel.

Our First Big Snow Of The Year!

Earlier this week it snowed about 12 inches in Indianapolis. Thankfully Claire and I got to enjoy it from the inside with hot cocoa and movies. However, I did take her out in it one day as we were both getting a bit of cabin fever. I promise I put mittens on her before we headed out, but she wanted to feel the snow with her own hands. The majority of it is still here, so maybe this weekend daddy can take her out in more than just the balcony :)

Paaarrrrty Paaarrrty!!

Yesterday we enjoyed Claire's 2nd birthday party. My sister Sally was kind enough to host it for us. It was a packed house - even friends from Louisville came up for it! We celebrated with pizza, cake, presents, chit chat time and a special trip to the fire station. Claire's Uncle Jon is a firefighter and could not make it to the party, so we made a quick visit to the fire station and got the grand tour of where he works. He even rang the bells for Claire - she thought that was pretty exciting! She ended her big day with a slumber party at Mamaw's and Papaw's.

We thank the Lord for another precious year of life with our little Claire Elizabeth and pray for many more!

Girls' Getaway to Grammy and Pop's

Last week Claire and I stayed at my parents' home in Ohio for a little annual birthday getaway. Last year for Claire's first birthday we stayed with my parents for the week, so we thought we'd continue the tradition for her 2nd birthday. She enjoyed my mom's famous belgium waffles with sprinkles and candles to start her birthday off "sweet". The rest of the week included shopping, manicures, pedicures, cupcakes, movies, books, more shopping, baking, & lots of HGTV...it's a good thing we don't have cable at our home in Indy! We always love going "home" to grammy and pop's and can't wait for next year!

IT'S A BOY!

That's right...the majority vote was another girl. But, SURPRISE!! we're having a baby boy this time around and he is definitely proud of it. It took about 2 seconds to find that out - if you know what I mean :) Tony and I are still trying to pick a name, so please feel free to offer up some ideas!

Zetterberg Christmas

Christmas Eve morning we had our own little family Christmas. Claire let daddy sleep till about 10AM and then she ran in and jumped on the bed shouting, "Merry Christmas!" We enjoyed watching her open her first tea set, which was so fun to see and hear her make sound effects as she poured us a cup of tea. Then on to the play dough which must stay in the kitchen - as it is not easy to get out of carpet :) That evening we drove to Tony's Aunt Patty's house for more family Christmas time and a yummy hoosier feast of mashed potatoes and noodles (and much much more). After opening presents and visiting with aunts, uncles, cousins and granny B, we headed to Tony's parent's home to spend the night. Misty's family stayed the night too, so all the cousins could wake up and enjoy Christmas morning together. Granny Z joined us for lunch and we finished the day with visiting and naps.
