Carnival Night at Conseco

Last Friday was family carnival night at Conseco. The had everything from bounce houses, 2 story blow up slides, obstacle courses, casinos, baked goods, popcorn, cotton candy, games, etc. Oh did I mention rain? Yep - much of the kids' activities were outside in the rain, but hey what's a little water right? Well, the big slide had a landing at the bottom that had collected all the rain, so it was more like a water slide / pool. But sweet Tony will do anything for his baby girl and he climbed up that slide and slid down into the "pool" only to get SOAKED...all the way through his boxers! Normally not that big of a deal, but we had "Dinner for Six" with our church right afterwards. Thankfully Tony's parents had met us there so they could take the kids home and we could go to dinner. So, Tony traded shirts with his dad and just woar his wet pants to dinner (ha) - another praise is that the host family had wooden seated dining room chairs :) ANYWAYS - we had a fun time watching claire give her tickets to the people, bounce around and eat her first bite of cotton candy.

Introducing Jack Joseph Zajicek

I'm a little behind on getting this posted, but here he is...Jack was born on July 4, 2009 at 12:34PM. Jon and Shannon are so in love as you can see from the pictures (thanks Shannon for sharing them with me...so many to choose from, but these were my favorites). For all you new readers, Jon (the proud daddy) is my brother and Shannon(mommy and beautiful wife) was my roommate in college and still dear friend/sister. Kevin and Jack are a little over 6 weeks apart, so it will be fun to watch these cousins grow up together. Jack got his first name from Shannon's grandpa and Joseph is Jon's middle name (and my dad's middle name and his dad's middle name and...you get the picture). Ok, enough of the information, let's get to the good stuff - here are the pics.

Welcome to the world baby Jack! You are loved so much already and we pray for you everyday!

Kevin at 4 months - already!

I know...it feels more like four weeks ago baby Kevin came into our lives, but he had his 4 month check up just yesterday and he is doing awesome! He now weighs a wopping 16.1 lbs. That puts him in the 75% for weight, and I love every roll of him! I know it may seem like I'm constantly comparing Kevin and Claire, but it's part of the fun when you have two...but these are fun comparisons :) Claire weighed 17 lbs on her first birthday, so as you may read - Kevin is catching up quickly!

When we come into his room to get him out of his crib in the morning or after a nap, he has a big grin on his face. He's very ticklish and laughs histerically when you throw him in the air. He druels all the time, which grosses his daddy out - sorry Tony. He likes to sit in the bumbo and watch Claire entertain him - she is his favorite toy right now and vice versa :) as you may notice in the previous post of her pushing Kevin in her baby stroller. He is such a sweet baby. Pretty laid back and predictable. He loves his bed, so praise the Lord he is a good sleeper. Just tuck his blue fuzzy blanket around his waist and he will pop that thumb in his mouth and head off to dream land. He goes to bed around 8PM and wakes for the day around 8:30AM.

What a precious gift Kevin Michael is from God!

Claire and Her Babies

I think Claire got bored of playing with baby dolls and thought she needed a REAL baby! Kevin is such a sport - already :)

More Fun Comparisons

As we went for a walk this evening, I was carrying Kevin in the Bjorn and was thinking how I felt like just yesterday it was baby Claire in there. Oh how time flies!! It was funny to think that I carried her in that wonderful invention till she was almost 1 year old...she's always been a light weight. Well, her brother on the other is quite the opposite and at only 3 months, I'm almost ready to say I can only tote him around in the stroller. Anyways, I thought it would be fun to pull out some "old" pictures for a few comparisons of our two blessings.

I love how they both have that one little arm/hand around my neck - I could just stay in that moment forever! oh, ps - don't mind that I'm wearing the exact same shirt in these pictures...I think someone needs to do a little shopping :)
