Yesterday we enjoyed Claire's 2nd birthday party. My sister Sally was kind enough to host it for us. It was a packed house - even friends from Louisville came up for it! We celebrated with pizza, cake, presents, chit chat time and a special trip to the fire station. Claire's Uncle Jon is a firefighter and could not make it to the party, so we made a quick visit to the fire station and got the grand tour of where he works. He even rang the bells for Claire - she thought that was pretty exciting! She ended her big day with a slumber party at Mamaw's and Papaw's.
We thank the Lord for another precious year of life with our little Claire Elizabeth and pray for many more!

So there have been several questions on where the lavender cake came from...my sister sally's friend Amber made it. She's in the Indy area if you are looking for an extra special cake/dessert!
