Zetterberg Christmas 2009

This may be one of several Christmas posts, as we were blessed to have several celebrations with family from all over, but just to get us back into the blog world, here are a few of our Zetterberg family photos.

We started our Christmas morning with daddy reading the Christmas Story from his Bible, then opened gifts and finished with Aunt Patty's yummy homemade pecan cinnamon rolls and coffee (hot cocoa for Claire).

Fall Family Photos

What a beautiful weekend! For the first time in a long time we had no plans for an entire weekend. So we took full advantage by sleeping in, going shopping, getting some extra exercise, and visiting with family. Here are a few fun pics to share with you and yes, we did put on coordinating outfits...getting ready for the annual Christmas card! These pictures were all taken at Granny Z's farm - what fabulous backgrounds for fun pics.

conSPOOKo

Once again we got to enjoy Conseco's annual "Conspooko" party. This year was better than the last! I don't know if it was because I wasn't still newly pregnant and nausious 24/7 (like last year)or maybe it was because Chick-Fil-A catered the event! But overall, we had a great time! The kids dress up, play games, win prizes, take pictures, eat dinner and watch Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin movie.

Benihana Birthday

Last night four of our neighbors joined Tony and me for an October birthday celebration at Benihana's. Someone from each home has a birthday in October, so we thought it would be fun to celebrate together! If you have never been to Beni's I highly recommend it and go with a few friends! Plus if it's your birthday, you get your dinner free! (but you need to go online and register and they will email you a coupon). God has truly blessed us with some sweet neighbors. Though we have only lived in our home for about 5 months, we feel like we've been friends for 5 years.

Family Hayride/Bonfire

On Saturday afternoon/evening our church held a family hayride/bonfire at one of the family's farm. We enjoyed a long hayride - a tractor pulled TWO large wagons for lots of families. Then we roasted hotdogs and marshmallows and the kids played and of course sweet fellowship.

That night after tucking Claire in bed, Tony said, "I had fun with you today Claire" and her response..."I had fun with the hay." I don't think that was the answer he was going for - ha!

Carnival Night at Conseco

Last Friday was family carnival night at Conseco. The had everything from bounce houses, 2 story blow up slides, obstacle courses, casinos, baked goods, popcorn, cotton candy, games, etc. Oh did I mention rain? Yep - much of the kids' activities were outside in the rain, but hey what's a little water right? Well, the big slide had a landing at the bottom that had collected all the rain, so it was more like a water slide / pool. But sweet Tony will do anything for his baby girl and he climbed up that slide and slid down into the "pool" only to get SOAKED...all the way through his boxers! Normally not that big of a deal, but we had "Dinner for Six" with our church right afterwards. Thankfully Tony's parents had met us there so they could take the kids home and we could go to dinner. So, Tony traded shirts with his dad and just woar his wet pants to dinner (ha) - another praise is that the host family had wooden seated dining room chairs :) ANYWAYS - we had a fun time watching claire give her tickets to the people, bounce around and eat her first bite of cotton candy.

Introducing Jack Joseph Zajicek

I'm a little behind on getting this posted, but here he is...Jack was born on July 4, 2009 at 12:34PM. Jon and Shannon are so in love as you can see from the pictures (thanks Shannon for sharing them with me...so many to choose from, but these were my favorites). For all you new readers, Jon (the proud daddy) is my brother and Shannon(mommy and beautiful wife) was my roommate in college and still dear friend/sister. Kevin and Jack are a little over 6 weeks apart, so it will be fun to watch these cousins grow up together. Jack got his first name from Shannon's grandpa and Joseph is Jon's middle name (and my dad's middle name and his dad's middle name and...you get the picture). Ok, enough of the information, let's get to the good stuff - here are the pics.

Welcome to the world baby Jack! You are loved so much already and we pray for you everyday!
