The Big 6-0

August 4, 2009, my dad, turned the big 6-0. So we celebrated big G's special day with some great family time. We feasted over yummy brunches and grand cookouts. Thankfully it was a beautiful weekend, so we got to spend much of our time outside. We made a trip to Lake Alma and fed the ducks as well as took turns playing t-ball and late night walks through the neighborhood. We ended the big event with dad's favorite carrot cake and a little surprise list of "60 Things We Love About Dad". It was fun to read memories, funny stories and one liners about my dad over these past 6 decades. Family, friends, neighbors, and even old co-workers contributed. Overall it was a great time - hope you enjoyed it too dad :) As Doug and Debbie said, "Welcome To The 60's"!
